Not just photos

ABOUT ME

This is real life, captured as it is

Hi, I’m Vanessa, the face behind Rear View Productions.

I’m a mum of three (including twins), so I know just how fast life moves and how important it is to capture the moments in between. The chaos, the laughter, the quiet little details, that’s what I love most about photography.

My approach is simple and relaxed. No stiff posing, no pressure, just real moments, captured naturally. I work outdoors using natural light to create images that feel genuine and timeless.

Rear View Productions was built around flexibility, affordability, and creating a comfortable experience for families of all ages. I understand that not every session goes perfectly, especially with little ones, and that’s okay. Some of the best photos come from those imperfect, in-between moments.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m spending time with my family, usually outdoors, which is where I draw a lot of my inspiration from.

This isn’t just photography for me, it’s about preserving memories you’ll look back on for years to come.

Relaxed. Real.

My Approach

No forced moments.

Every session is shaped around you, your pace, your energy, and what feels comfortable in the moment.

Rather than following a strict shot list, I read the room and adapt as we go. Some sessions are playful and full of movement, others are slower and quieter, but both are just as valuable and deserve to be captured as they are.

I focus on observing and anticipating moments as they happen, stepping in only when a little direction helps bring things together. This keeps everything flowing naturally while still creating a polished final result.

Light, space, and timing all play a big role in how I work. I choose angles and settings that complement you, not distract from you, so the attention stays where it should, on the people and the connection.

Above all, I aim to create an experience that feels easy and unforced, where you can settle in and be present without overthinking it.

The result is a gallery that feels honest, balanced, and true to your story.
